Galaxy Slime (Grades 3-5)

Midnight Galaxy Slime

This glittery slime is as fun to look at as it is to play with!

What You Need

  • 6 oz. black glitter liquid glue  
  • ½ c. water
  • ½ c. baking soda
  • 1 tbsp. contact solution

What To Do

  1. Add the bottle of black glitter glue to a large bowl.
  2. Slowly add the water to the bowl.
  3. Stir in the baking soda and mix well.
  4. Add in the contact solution.
  5. Knead the slime until it is no longer sticky.
  6. Store the slime in an airtight container with a lid or a plastic zip lock bag.

Colorful Galaxy Slime

The deep blues, purples and pinks are reminiscent of outer space.

What You Need

  •  6 oz. clear liquid glue  
  • ½ c. water
  • ½ c. baking soda
  • 1 tbsp. contact solution
  • purple, blue or pink food coloring
  • purple, blue or pink glitter or sequins

What To Do

  1. Add the bottle of black glitter glue to a large bowl.
  2. Slowly add the water to the bowl.
  3. Add in a few drops of a single color of food coloring and a few tablespoons of glitter.
  4. Stir in the baking soda and mix well.
  5. Add in the contact solution.  
  6. Knead the slime until it is no longer sticky.
  7. Make as many batches of slime as you’d like using different colors of food dye.
  8. You can mix your colored galaxy slime with the black galaxy slime to make a mesmerizing color swirl, or keep them separate.
  9. Store the slime in an airtight container with a lid or a plastic zip lock bag.
